Lay your plans, set your course and bear in mind, adjustments are a part of navigating in real time.

Things rarely go as planned, especially when children are involved, so when homeschooling, having a "Game on!" attitude is indispensable. As in sports, field awareness, readiness to pivot or switch up the game plan are all critical components to success. It's not a game if you're not on your toes, right? Interruptions, accidents and failed attempts are exponentially easier to deal with when you are game to the challenge.

Demonstrating how to adapt to shifting challenges is a more valuable lesson than whatever subject matter you were dealing with anyway.

"Life happens. Adapt. Embrace change, and make the most of everything that comes your way." -Nick Jonas

Priceless moments pop up unexpectedly too. Those impromptu deep meaning discussions or the rare I-never-knew-that-about-you glimpses are fragile moments to stop and cherish. Those moments are far less likely to get trampled when the journey is valued above the day’s finish line.

Homeschool in real time can be wildly adaptable if your mindset is.

Homeschooling allows you to temporize picturesque moments, fly past goals when you are on a roll and all along, count the day’s or year’s accomplishments with a more comprehensive measuring stick.
